Kensway
Dance Club has been running for 25 years in various locations. Founded
by head teacher Kenneth Bland, it has now moved to the internationally
famous Starlight Dance Studio at Streatham, South London.
Streatham's
Starlight Studio was founded by the renowned world ballroom and latin champions
Bill and Bobbie Irvine in the 1960's. It is now a world famous centre of
teaching during the day for international professional and amateur dancers
from throughout the globe.
It
is run by a consortium of world famous dancers including the former world
ballroom champions Marcus and Karen Hilton.
The
social side of the studio is open to the public to come and learn basic
latin and ballroom steps. Social dance is non-competitive dancing. Competitive
dancing can be followed through private lessons starting at a basic level.
Come
and join us in this premier London ballroom with a maple leaf sprung floor. Enjoy
the social side of the dance studio and have fun learning new dance steps. Whether
you have been inspired by Strictly Come Dancing, Mad Hot Ballroom or just
fancy learning to dance ballroom and latin, we can get you moving fast.
